Which side is my fuel cap on?

There's no single rule across all manufacturers for which side the fuel cap is on - it genuinely varies by make and model. The quickest way to check is your own fuel gauge: most cars show a small pump icon on the dashboard with a little arrow next to it, pointing to whichever side the cap is actually on.

If your car doesn't show one, the handbook will confirm it, or you can simply check both sides of the car for the flap - useful to know before you're already at the pump facing the wrong way.
