This is what's on the official record - it can't tell you everything about a vehicle. To also check for outstanding finance, stolen, salvage, write-off and third party risk markers, as well as previous keepers and plate changes, you can run a Confidence Report once you've narrowed down to serious contenders, before making the purchase. Always view it in person and take it for a drive, and consider an independent inspection before you commit to anything.
